Do we owe franchise tax if we are a small LLC?
Possibly not the tax, but probably a report. A company at or under the Comptroller's line for the report year owes no franchise tax, and it still files a short information report. The line was $2,650,000 of revenue for 2026 and 2027 reports. See franchise tax as a planning number.
Do you work with companies outside the big four metros?
Yes, by video and with the same Texas rules. A company in Lubbock, Amarillo, El Paso or Midland gets the same monthly close and the same calendar. We just never describe those places as part of the Texaplex, because they are not.
Can you handle sales tax for several locations?
We prepare the returns and keep the books tagged by location, so each one ties out each month. The Comptroller's rate locator sets the pieces by address, and we check them yearly. Details are on the page about sales tax across Texas locations.

Do you help with a move from another state?
With the numbers, yes. We map the registrations, the first franchise report and the dates in both places. Legal documents belong to an attorney. See moving a company to Texas.
Will you prepare our federal return too?
We will. It comes from the same books as the Texas filings, so the figures agree and the owner's pay, the entity and the franchise tax are weighed together.
Does the practice run payroll?
No. A provider that you run does payday. Choosing it, registering the business, setting the pay, linking the feed to the books and watching the filings are our share.
Do you file renditions?
We prepare them from the asset list kept by county, and the owner approves what goes to each appraisal district. Protests are planned the same way, county by county.
Our books are behind. Does that stop us?
It does not. One closed month comes first, and we can start there. Bring what you have, even if it is messy.
What will working with you cost?
In writing, before work starts, matched to the scope. This site publishes no price, because the right scope depends on how many locations, counties and filings are involved. A first call costs nothing, and the quote follows.
Will you sign statements an investor wants audited?
We prepare statements and sign no report on them. When an investor, a lender or a contract wants audited or reviewed ones, a licensed firm does that part, and the books are ready for it. That line has its own page.
What do we talk about on the free Second Look call?
We list your Texas filings by location and look at the next decision, whether that is a hire, an address or a report. It is a video call with the practice. Nothing to sign and nothing to pay.
